around the farm :: bird watching

You know, all one needs for prime bird-watching is a pasture with manure in it and the roof of a chicken hutch. At least if you are 11 that is all you need. The farm is a-twitter with little flying creatures.

Hannah is keeping a bird journal and in it is: Robin, Starling, Stellar Blue Jay, Barn Swallow, Tree Swallow, American Gold Finch, and Chickadees.

I have been loving sitting out in the garden and watching all of the birds in the pasture myself. There was one out there this morning that walked just like it was riding on the moving sidewalk at the airport. It looked like a shore bird actually....its little legs musta been moving super fast!

Also wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of our Armed Forces who have served in the past or present and their extended families for the sacrifices made on our behalf. THANK YOU!
